SPUR AND HELICAL GEAR

SPUR GEAR

Spur gears are evolvent functions and have helical angles of 0˚. In order for the two spur gears to work with each other, their profiles must match. The fact that the profiles are suitable does not mean that these two gears are similar. The suitability of the Evolvent profiled spur gears is determined by engineering calculations.

Evolvent spur gears produced within our company are calculated by expert engineers, three-dimensional design is made by expert designers and production is provided by experienced craftsmen. During the production process, the gears are quality checked and shipped with the quality report outputs.

Spur gears can be manufactured by our company as desired module or DP. According to the desired quality gears, profile grinding process is done.

HELICAL GEAR

Helical gears have evolvent function, helical angles are different from 0. It is called right and left helix. There must be two helical gears working with each other, one of them is right and the other one is left helix. The helical angles of these two gears must be identical.

Helical gear engineering calculations are more difficult than spur gear. However, the helical gear runs quieter than the spur gear, carries more load, and has more grip surface advantages. These advantages make the helical gear the preferred gear type.

Helical gear can be manufactured as desired module or DP within our company.
